How to use any form of public transport without fear?

We all fear from something. Be it darkness, person, event, past experience or anything which stirs the chills down your spine. Friends the fear of getting afraid is much worse than reality. Before we understand what causes it or how to get out of it; it is important to note that nothing can be treated fully without one’s will to admit its existence and passion to get rid of it.

There is couple of things which a public transport clips on to its imagery which puts people in dubious mind whether or not to take it. A trip down town makes us wonder whether it is trip to reach the destination or a roller coaster ride where you might "reach" the destination or might end up vomiting nowhere.

Friends I totally relate to you when the scare of being dumped at a breathless corner inside a public transport thought creeps in. It is a reaction when you feel you will be stuck forever and won’t get fresh air and might die out of suffocation.
When we feel scared of the public transport our sub-conscious mind associates the public transport with negative emotions. This in turn triggers panic and fearful situation in you. The best way to travel is to remember what your safest place is. One never feels scared in his comfort zone. Always follow the safety norms laid by the government. Using railway bridges, subways, skywalks and zebra crossings are the easiest and safest ways to avoid any mishaps.

Sometimes sticking your eye balls on the road or track constantly drives the mind to think bad thoughts. Instead relax, let your body lose, enjoy the outside scenery and set your mind to run in the fields of green positive open thoughts. Music, as we all know, is the best healer and soothing agent. One should always carry a relaxation music tape or CD and play it while you are traveling. At slightest sign of tension, listen to the music and breathe.

Personally I would suggest that you go for medication whenever you feel panicked. But if things go out of your hand then very low dose of Ativan (after consulting your physician) could get you from tension to normal state very quickly. Lastly, it never hurts to pray. One should remember god and hum songs that soothe your soul and take you away from tension and fear.
