This enzyme converts tryptophan to serotonin, an important neurotransmitter responsible for an anti-anxiety and calming effect in the brain. These estrogen receptors have been isolated to specific areas of the brain call the DRN, or the dorsal raphe nuclei.

Estrogen Effective for Perimenopausal Depression

A study published in the 2001 Archives of General Psychiatry evaluated bioidentical estrogen as treatment for peri-menopausal depression. They evaluated fifty women ages 40-55 years, suffering from a depressive disorder and irregular menstrual periods (FSH >25 IU/L). These women were treated with bioidentical estrogen or placebo over 12-weeks. Remission of depression was observed in 17 (68%) women treated with bioidentical estradiol compared with only 5 (20%) in the placebo group. The authors concluded, "Transdermal estradiol is an effective treatment of depression for perimenopausal women."

Estrogen Effective for Post-Partum Depression (after child birth)

Postpartum depression is seen in approximately 13% of women who have recently given birth, and often remains untreated. SSRIs work by increasing serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin is the brain chemical that helps modulate mood, appetite, sexuality, anxiety and sleep. SSRIs are the most common medication given for panic disorder treatment.

B. SNRIs affect levels of both serotonin and norepinephrine. Norepinephrine is the brain chemical believed to be responsible for the fight or flight response in the body, which may be overly sensitive in patients with panic disorder.

C. TCAs act on serotonin and norepinephrine, as well as dopamine in a lesser manner. There are multiple theories that indicate that dopamine is involved in psychiatric disorders.

D. MAOIs are typically a last resort for panic disorder treatment. Like other medications, it acts on the levels of brain chemicals. However, due to this class of medicines tendency to interact with other medications as well as some foods and drinks, it requires a strict diet to prevent problems.

#2 Benzodiapines are anti-anxiety medications. They tend to be addictive so they are generally prescribed only on an as need basis. Some doctors prefer not to treat anxiety in other ways to avoid the potential addiction.

#3 Psychotherapy methods can vary depending on the provider and what works best for the patient. Cognitive behavioral therapy and panic focused psychodynamic psychotherapy are common panic disorder treatment methods.

#4 Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on behaviors or thoughts that may be triggering or prolonging symptoms. Once these have been identified, the therapist works to eliminate these. Treatment may include desensitization therapy, where patients are given tools to cope with the feelings associated with a fear, and then are slowly and gently exposed to the fear.

#5 Panic focused psychodynamic psychotherapy aids patients in opening up to their unconscious. This helps them to identify defense mechanisms that may be playing a role in panic disorder.
#6 Some panic disorder treatments can be done at home as well. Caffeine, alcohol and drugs can exacerbate symptoms. By eliminating them, you can reduce the occurrence of panic attacks.
#7 Stress relief and relaxation are also key. Yoga, Pilates and deep breathing exercises can help to calm and center you. Aerobic exercise can help relieve tension and encourage the release of endorphins, natural chemicals produced by the body that leave you with a feeling of well-being.

Not all methods of panic disorder treatment work for everyone. In some cases, a combination of treatment options may be necessary to achieve optimal results. Even though it may not seem like it at the moment, treatment can help reduce the frequency and severity of symptoms. With the right combination of treatments, you can have your life back.

Are you looking for a safe and effective Panic Disorder Treatment for your relief? Look no further! It is neither possible nor a wise thing to give up driving completely because of your fears.

However something has to be done to stop panic attacks while driving so that you can drive safely and without any mishaps.

A panic attack is a sudden and intense feeling of terror, fear or apprehension, without the presence of actual danger. If there were actual danger, the feelings associated with the panic attack would probably be expected. But if you have panic disorder, you are probably experiencing panic attacks that just don’t fit the situation.

If you experience a panic attack while driving, you may begin to associate driving with causing your panic response. But the driving itself is not really the cause of your panic. Rather, the driving has become a conditioned stimulus (CS) that now produce a conditioned panic response (CR).

Joseph Wolpe, a pioneer of behavioral therapy developed a technique called systematic desensitization for the treatment of anxiety-related disorders and phobic responses. This technique is based on the principles of classical conditioning, and the premise that what has been learned (conditioned) can be unlearned.

Another important thing you have to do is to make strong determination in your mind that you will carry on the tasks which trigger panic attacks. For example, if you get panic attacks while driving, then don't give up driving. Make a strong resolve to yourself that you will carry on the task despite your fears and apprehensions.

Click here to discover how to stop panic attacks naturally while driving using a simple technique. This method helped thousands of people across the world to control anxiety and panic disorder.

Why You Should Take Medicines To Control Anxiety

Taking medication to help you control the symptoms of anxiety or depression or any other psychological disorder only makes you better for getting yourself into treatment. Always eat a well-balanced diet.
2. Avoid alcohol, and reduce or eliminate your consumption of sugar and caffeine.
3. Do something pleasurable for yourself and that can help you to reduce overall anxiety level.
4. Avoid hectic schedule
5. Keep track of things that make you more anxious or less anxious.
6. If you begin to hyperventilate, exhale into a paper bag and inhale the air within the bag. This increases the amount of carbon dioxide you are inhaling, which can reduce the urge to hyperventilate. Inhaling from a bag will help relieve any dizziness or tingling you might feel.
7. Practice Yoga and other breathing exercise.

Linden method review

Can Panic and Anxiety Attacks Really Be Cured Without Drugs or Costly Psychologists?

Hey, Tina Sur here, and you’re reading my review of what I really thought about the Linden Method.

If you are looking for the Charles Linden Method website then click here or continue to read my review.

In this review, we are looking at one of the most successful methods for overcoming anxiety and panic disorder, and whether it truly does live up to its' claims or not.

Why It Is Hard To Find A Solution

There are certainly many treatments are available but most of the treatment is designed to "manage" the symptoms...NOT treat and eliminate them.

Furthermore, psychologists and psychiatrists are all well and good when it comes to anxiety problems, but they all generally lack real life experience of anxiety disorder. So, sometimes their recommended are not so effective.

CLICK HERE to go to the Official Linden Method HOME PAGE

How Linden Method Works

“Anxiety disorder and panic attacks aren’t mental or physical illnesses. They are behavioral conditions, fueled solely by our own actions."

Shocking statement, but true according to Charles Linden, creator of The Linden Method, a natural anxiety relief treatment program.

This is probably contradictory to what you have already learned about your condition. For many years, anxiety disorder and panic attacks were blamed on a chemical imbalance in the brain. Charles conducted an extensive study into this misconception and his results proved that this is untrue.

Every single anxiety disorder, panic attack, OCD & PTSD sufferer on this planet has a condition that is caused and perpetuated by the same single thing; this thing is called the Amygdala, it's a small almond shaped organ in the brain that CONTROLS the physical responses of anxiety (the symptoms you feel).

This tiny organ is 100% responsiblefor your anxiety. For anxiety and panic sufferers, however, this gland has somehow gotten stuck in the ‘on’ position. This causes the brain to repeatedly activate the anxiety when it is not required. This over-activation has become the new learned behavior.

The Linden Method targets the Amygdala, in a specific way which is already proving to be very effective.

And the key thing is that no other therapeutic practice has the same dramatic affect - and this is confirmed by doctors, psychologists and academics around the world.

Official Website URL Featured In This Review:

http://www.linden-method.com

What You'll Get Inside The Linden Method

What is interesting about the Linden Method is that It is written by an ex-anxiety and panic attack sufferer. Much of the information is based around simple psychology, but the main program is focused around one particular method which is drastically simple to understand and apply.

It doesn't smother you with many, many techniques you can try, some that work and some that don't. It simply provides you with one method.

Either way, it is written in simple, easy to understand language and the best part is that it doesn't require hours of listening to CDs or doing exercises like other self help programs do.

Free private counselling

What I liked about Linden Method is that they offer FREE professional private call and email counselling support from their team of qualified anxiety, panic attacks, phobias and OCD specialists.
That was a particularly strong selling point for both myself and the people we asked about this product.
Ultimately, the Linden Method offers a comprehensive 'holistic' solution, addressing the root of the problem and not just a single element of panic and anxiety.

Bonus material:

Free support from qualified psychologists, via email and telephone.

The Linden Method Video

The Linden Method Audio

FREE Unlimited Counselling For 1 year

Stress Free In 30 Days (book)

Journey Out of Agrophobia (book)

Fast track to recovery video

Why I liked this method - Top 5 Points

1. Internationally acclaimed system which has been proven to work time and time again (among 115,000 happy customers)
2. Wide press coverage and a highly trusted, highly supportive staff
3. Avoids the usual "masking techniques" such as deep breathing and telling yourself to "remember a happy time in your life" junk that other programs waste your time with
4. The fact that it is just ONE method, means it is not overbearing or confusing
5. The Linden Method DOES NOT involve any form of self hypnosis or subliminal messages. The article states why it is a best cure for panic attacks along with all pros and cons of Joe Barry’s patented 'One Move technique'.

Almost 41000 people, having anxiety disorder, were successfully treated using panic away program. I am sure you are not that lucky one. Unfortunately, you might have come across some statements or ads (mentioned below) that are hampering your decision.

Panic Away is a scam.

Panic Away sucks.

I hate Panic Away – Learn the shocking truth!

Your confusion is fully justified as purchasing anything from internet is risky, apart from having a poor quality product. I'm writing this article with an intention to explain whether panic away is actually a scam or those ads themselves are scams.

click here to know more on panic away program

I strongly believe that this is a new style of hype. I fear if this kind of an advertisement might be as ill-fated as the boy who cried wolf…wolf! He was overlooked when he finally was confronted by a real wolf. Similarly, people, with utmost knowledge about this program, will learn to ignore these ads too.

Beware of such misleading advertisements, which can unnecessarily slow down your recovery.

Why I believe Panic Away to be a real online panic attack cure?

1. I found a lot of positive feedback, apart from some minor criticisms, on this program through anxiety-related forums, interviews and consultations with few neurologists and psychiatrists and by reading various blog posts.

2. You can find hundreds of audio and video testimonials on Panic Away. They have to be real as it’s illegal for them to have illusory testimonials.

3. Andy, one of my friends who did specialization in online marketing, told me, in general only 10% people, who purchased a panic attack book online, really read the book and put the teachings in practice. I believe all the testimonials on panic away site come from that 10% group who got excellent results from this program. Around 60% people do not read the book completely or do not follow most of the recommendations diligently. If the methods given are not followed exactly as instructed, it's very likely you will not get the desired results. So, if somebody says it is spam, it might be the case s/he did not try to apply the method at all.

Overall, the positive reviews about Panic Away seem to overshadow the negative ones.

If you go to a doctor or psychiatrist, they probably will not mention about Panic Away. Instead, they would prescribe certain panic attack medications because it's easier and it's what they're there for - to write you prescriptions. However, if you are keen enough while reading Panic Away review, you will find many people with similar panic attack symptoms, who have gone down this route before, to no results.

Remember, its panic away which has cured them from those terrifying panic attacks, regardless of whether you had stomach cramps, headache, chest pains, less sleep, shortness of breath, or dizziness. This program is also helpful in curing panic attack during pregnancy and panic attack in children.

In order to get best results from panic away program please ensure that,

You know, what is panic attack and its root cause?

You practice a lot until you master this simple technique to control your anxiety attacks. Do not give up even after 1 or 2 failures.

You do not let fear rule your mind and body and cause reluctance to undertake those stressful activities.

You do not feel inferior or have low self esteem that might suspect the capabilities and potential of panic away program.

You do not bring back those fearful memories of failing in something that provoked severe anxiety in the past.

For some, however, it isn’t so easy.

While surfing on the net, I found a real life story of a journalist who suffered from anxiety disorder for 40 long years. These conditions triggered frequent attacks driving panic in him. Finally he cured himself by following One Move technique. It took him around 3 months to master that technique.

What are you waiting for?

Act now. Buy panic away ebook to know: What are panic attacks? Most of them are suffering from panic and anxiety attacks for years. They mentioned that there are medications that can help them to suppress their anxiety but these are only temporary solutions.

Most of them told me that they didn't like the fact of relying on medications for their panic attacks symptoms all their life. That is why they tried several alternative treatments for permanent cure for panic attacks and most of them recommended Joe Barry Panic Away. Most important part is Joe Barry Panic Away guide promises to have a natural panic attack cure that is both safe, effective and permanently.

Click here to know more on panic away

Panic away review

Joe used to suffer from panic attacks too. That is until he discovers a natural panic attack cure that works. Now his methods to cure panic attacks aren’t bogus as he has successfully helped over 40,000 panic attack sufferers from all over the world get rid of panic attacks forever. I read several reviews and also purchased program for self evaluation.

I used information acquired from those people self-reporting their experiences from Joe Barry's program and I also used my judgment.

So What is Panic Away?

The unique part about Joe Barry Panic Away program is it does not teach you how to cope with panic attacks as what most traditional methods do. Instead, through his One Move technique, he teaches you to cope with the symptoms of panic attacks before it happens and make sure they do not occur after that.

The One move technique is not hypnosis or NLP and once you have mastered the one move technique, you can anticipate a panic and anxiety attack and stop it before it comes.

What I Do Not Like About Panic Away?

Joe Barry Panic away claims doctors prescribe medication simply because they don’t have time to deal with patients. I disagree with that and in some cases, there is a medical reason for panic attacks which is due to hormonal imbalance. Medication can effectively treat these symptoms although it isn’t the only way available.

Another thing is that learning the one move technique can take some time to master. It isn’t like a magic wand where you read it and instantly get rid of panic attacks. For most people, it may take 3 to 4 times to learn and apply what Joe Barry is teaching.

Why I recommend panic away program?

1. One move technique can be applied in daily life and you can learn the method on your own. You can get help from the forum. The book is easy to read and deliver what it claims. But once you learned his one move technique, you can better identify when a panic attack is coming and how to stop it in its tracks easily.

2. I found through the use of the Panic Away program that it is making use of advanced cognitive psychology techniques that research has demonstrated to be more effective, in some cases, than medication for anxiety and panic attacks. Additionally some research has shown a cognitive behavioral approach to be most effective one for anxiety and panic attacks. This is definitely a critical and important thing to note about this book.

3. From my own observation and the experiences of others whom I consulted with, I am confident that the techniques of the Panic Away program are long term.

4. Panic away is the result of 10 years research by Joe and it is online for last 8 years.

5. I recommend Panic Away as it is a technique that has worked for many people. It is natural and safe and if you do not want to be dependent on medication all your life, I encourage you to give Panic Away a try. You will learn techniques on how to stop anxiety attacks while driving or flying.

6. Be it darkness, person, event, past experience or anything which stirs the chills down your spine. Friends the fear of getting afraid is much worse than reality. Before we understand what causes it or how to get out of it; it is important to note that nothing can be treated fully without one’s will to admit its existence and passion to get rid of it.

There is couple of things which a public transport clips on to its imagery which puts people in dubious mind whether or not to take it. A trip down town makes us wonder whether it is trip to reach the destination or a roller coaster ride where you might "reach" the destination or might end up vomiting nowhere.

Friends I totally relate to you when the scare of being dumped at a breathless corner inside a public transport thought creeps in. It is a reaction when you feel you will be stuck forever and won’t get fresh air and might die out of suffocation.
When we feel scared of the public transport our sub-conscious mind associates the public transport with negative emotions. This in turn triggers panic and fearful situation in you. The best way to travel is to remember what your safest place is. One never feels scared in his comfort zone. Always follow the safety norms laid by the government. Using railway bridges, subways, skywalks and zebra crossings are the easiest and safest ways to avoid any mishaps.

Sometimes sticking your eye balls on the road or track constantly drives the mind to think bad thoughts. Instead relax, let your body lose, enjoy the outside scenery and set your mind to run in the fields of green positive open thoughts. Music, as we all know, is the best healer and soothing agent. One should always carry a relaxation music tape or CD and play it while you are traveling. At slightest sign of tension, listen to the music and breathe.

Personally I would suggest that you go for medication whenever you feel panicked. But if things go out of your hand then very low dose of Ativan (after consulting your physician) could get you from tension to normal state very quickly. Lastly, it never hurts to pray. One should remember god and hum songs that soothe your soul and take you away from tension and fear.

What you can do to feel more relaxed at all times?

You suffer from chronic anxiety and frequent panic attacks. You are always tense, worried and nervous. You never appear relaxed. If that's the case with you, please spend a few minutes reading this article. It might help solve your woes.

Firstly, you must check with your doctor whether you require any medication. There are many drugs available which can lessen your troubles. Your anxiety could be a symptom of water deficiency. Hence, you must ensure that you drink plenty of water daily. Your diet must be a balanced and healthy one. More fruits and vegetables in your diet will help you to fight anxiety. Make sure you have enough rest and sleep. You can then control your thoughts better.

The above deals with basics of staying relaxed. Let us now discuss some more techniques especially helpful to combat anxiety and help stay relaxed all the time.

Meditation is a proven strategy to stay relaxed. It has been proven since thousands of years. The West has caught up with it in the past few decades. It has been scientifically proven that meditation helps you stay calm. The techniques are quite simple. Sit relaxed with your spine erect in a comfortable chair. Then close your eyes and chant a mantra you have learnt for your guru, if you have one. Even if you don’t, you can think about God. If you are an atheist, simply observe your thoughts. Do not consider a thought as good or evil, but simply observe. It will help you stay relaxed.

Breathing techniques also help you stay relaxed. A simple technique is that you focus on your breath as you inhale and exhale. You only have to ensure that your breathing pattern is regular. When your mind is disturbed, your breathing gets irregular. Practice this method for a few minutes daily. A few months later you can see yourself a changed person. You will feel more calm and focused.

Laughter helps heal your worries. Try to develop a sense of humor. See funny movies, read funny books, enjoy jokes. Laughter releases tension naturally.

Finally, learn to change your mind's perspective. What is important is not what is bothering you but your reaction to them. Try changing your attitude and you will find the world a changed place. You have now realized the importance of balancing your inner self, haven't you?

What you can do to sleep better and longer?

Are you suffering from chronic anxiety and panic attacks? Is your sleep sound? Do you feel recharged when you wake up? Is it undisturbed throughout the night? Do you feel energized when you get up in the morning? If you answered “No” to one or more of these queries this article is for you.

It is difficult to say what the cause is and what the effect is. Lack of sleep sometimes results in greater anxiety and symptoms of panic attacks and vice versa. It is imperative that you consult a mental health professional.

Medication could help solve your problem. Sleep deprivation makes you feel tired and drowsy. Better and longer sleep will help you to have more control. Your brain will execute better actions. Your episodes of panic attacks will lessen in intensity and frequency.

Apart from medication here are a few tips which could help you have a better and longer sleep.

Fix a regular time to go to bed and wake up. Maintain it even on weekends and holidays. Else you risk upsetting your body clock.

Observe what you eat. You must try to have a light dinner as sleep interferes with your digestion process and you will have difficulty in falling asleep on a full stomach. Avoid oily and spicy food at night. A warm cup of milk before bedtime ensures good sleep.

Your lifestyle may be sedentary. Your body needs to get tired for it to fall asleep. Try exercising daily. Take a walk. Climb the stairs instead of opting for the lift. Make sure you are sufficiently tired by the time it’s bedtime.

Taking a shower before going to bed is helpful. It could be a hot or cold one depending on where you live and the season. A bath really helps you relax.

Make sure your bed and your mattress is comfortable. Your room must not be too hot or cold. Try to ensure your room is dark. If you can’t fall asleep try to read a book. Your mind will be focused on one thing at a time. Otherwise you will have all kinds of thoughts crowding your mind and disturbing your sleep. The more serious the topic you are reading the better. Try avoiding thrillers.

Music therapy can be given a try. Light music helps you relax and fall asleep.

Try out above methods. Good luck.

What kind of medication helps? Does it help at all?

Have you experienced panic at some point of time in your life? For some of you the incidents may have been frequent. Anxiety, panic or whatever you name it is needed to an extent in our lives. After all, when you get up in the morning, you have to ensure your daily bread. Anxiety provides that push!

Sometimes, that push comes to a shove and life gets off balance. You may become incapacitated by your panic attacks. You may have problems interacting with people. The very prospect of meeting someone may seem to be a ‘Herculean task.’ This is called social phobia.

Your case may be of generalized anxiety where no focus for your fears can be found. It could be a case of one or more phobias where the fear is focused on something concrete. You may either be a hopeless worrier or may be you are extremely depressed.

If you are stuck in any of above situations, have heart. Today’s medical science has improved so much that most of these anxieties and panic attacks can be treated.

Here’s a brief list of medicines which you may find useful

Propanolol (Inderal) and Atenolol (Tenormin) are a class of drugs called Beta Blockers which are useful for social phobia. They control the heartbeat, trembling and shaking. Though they have less side-effects, you should use them temporarily only.

Tricyclic antidepressants like Imiprapine (Tofranil) and Amitriptyline (Elavil) are used to treat severe depression, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts and depression with anxiety.

Benzodiazepines like Alprazolam (Xanax) and Clonazepam (Klonopin) are used to control generalized anxiety and phobias including social phobias. These medicines help induce sleep and are useful for those with sleeping disorders.

Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOI) like Phenelzine (Nardil) help treat depression, panics and social phobia.

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI) like Fluoxetine (Prozac) are a new generation of drugs to treat depression, obsessions, social phobia and panic attacks.

A mild tranquilizer like Buspirone (Buspar) has been found to be effective for generalized anxiety.

Please remember these are prescription drugs and you must use them only if advised by your doctor. While a few get totally cured, some may have to continue medications over a period of time. You have to first believe in yourself before you start with the medicines. Think that they will definitely cure you. Finally and most importantly………Do not feel ashamed of treating your illness.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://help-panic-attacks.blogspot.com/2010/01/what-kind-of-medication-helps-does-it.html' title='What kind of medication helps? Being responsible is being able to protect your family from present anxieties and future uncertainties. There are some very simple ways for you to ensure a protected, anxiety-free life with your partner and/ or kids. Just remember, the key is staying calm and believing in you.

Causes of anxiety or panic attacks usually differ from person to person, but the most-reported causes are claustrophobia, agoraphobia etc. Usual symptoms are increased heartbeat count, palpitations, uncontrollable shaking, seizures, profuse sweating and chest pains. Often, the causes could be hereditary, or a result of unhealthy living and nutritional habits. Hence, if you want to cure those nasty panic attacks, I suggest you start from the scratch.

Do the safety and security concerns of your spouses and kids keep you up all night? Do they keep you preoccupied with tension and anxieties when you should be out spending a fun time with them? Are you scared of the financial and social uncertainties of the future? If so, then you need to start working on it right away.

First up, identify your areas of primary concern. Ensure a healthy lifestyle, with optimal nutritional intake, lots of sleep and exercises. If you are the types who are not exactly gym-savvy, hit the roads instead for a nice, wonderful jog around the park. A great idea would be to make this a regular morning fixture with your family. This way, you keep them healthy and also get to spend constructive, quality time with them.

Get into the habit of meditation, even if it’s for 10 minutes a day. It serves as a great stress-buster and fills you up with positive, stimulating energy. You will feel more confident and able to take up challenges head-on. You could also follow some anxiety healing therapies, where you learn to identify and individually tackle the causes of these attacks. Most of these attacks are curable once you think positive and refuse to magnify the intensity of the attacks.

Don’t be afraid to plan new adventures, getaways and holidays with your family. Remember, the more cloistered you will be, the more the anxiety grips you. Remember to take care of travel essentials like medication, documents and ready cash. Ensure that you and your family are properly insured before embarking on the trip. Follow these basic rules, and watch your life transform radically.

Is There a Cure for Panic Attack Sufferers?

Mike Jerry wrote an interesting article on anxiety attack symptoms, diagnosis and natural cure for panic attacks. I found this article quiet informative and publish the same below.

A cure for panic attack sufferers is available. The problem is that the cure is different for each individual. People who are suffering from panic attacks are constantly looking for remedies that will work for them. Unfortunately there is no one panic attack remedy that will work for all sufferers.

Many people believe that since the causes of panic attacks have not clearly been defined the cure for these attacks is also elusive. The truth is, once you have a proper diagnosis of panic attacks, there are many different ways for sufferers to start feeling better.

Triggers

If someone has a variety of risk factors for panic attacks they may be more likely to have the disorder. Many of the panic attack causal factors are also triggers for an episode. Some of the possible triggers include:

* Catastrophic Misinterpretation - The mistaken belief that something is going to cause a severe problem.

* Hyperventilation - This can be a symptom and a trigger for a panic attack.

* Environmental Factors - Such as high humidity, stuffiness, hot, or crowding.

* Chest Pain or Palpitations - The feeling of chest pain can trigger the fear that there is a heart attack coming; this fear then leads to an actual panic attack.

* Dizziness and Vertigo - These feelings are also associated with being a trigger of a panic attack and a symptom.

* Nausea - Can be an after affect of dizziness and vertigo. The fear of vomiting then can lead to a panic attack.

Diagnosing

To test if you have a panic attack disorder, you can find a self-help questionnaire online. Many of the questions will ask if you have experienced any of the above symptoms during a specific time period.

Usually if you answer yes to any of the questions, the test will recommend that you seek the advice of a trained doctor. Your doctor will then ask you questions to help determine if you may have a panic related disorder.

The Cure?

Panic attacks can be controlled through the use of medication. The most common medication prescribed to treat panic attacks is usually an antidepressant. The other common "cure" for panic attacks is to seek professional counseling.

Cognitive behavioral counseling has been very successful in helping patients overcome their panic attacks or other panic disorders. Counseling and medication can reduce the frequency of attacks. The reduction in panic attacks then reduces the anxiety of future panic attacks. The cycle of reduction continues and will improve the life of the person who had previously suffered from disruptive panic attacks.

Another therapy method that is often used is called exposure therapy. By continually confronting the fear that causes panic attacks, it is thought that the person will soon become desensitized to their past fears.

Although there may not be a magical cure for panic attacks, there are a variety of ways to lessen their frequency and maintain a normal productive life. Panic attack sufferers will often benefit from a combination of medications and professional counseling.

Source: Stop panic attack naturally

Why Do I Have a Panic Attack?

Is this my mom's fault?

Is this my fault? A healthy diet can help ease and reduce the occurrence of panic attacks. You should avoid caffeinated food and beverages, at the onset of panic attacks. Choose your food intake and make sure they do not induce or aggravate panic attacks.

2. You should focus on lifestyle change. Having a healthy lifestyle keeps the heart healthy, the body and mind well balanced, which in turn helps reduce the risk of panic attacks.

Take gym or yoga classes a few times a week or go outdoors for a walk to remove stress.

3. If you can avoid smoking, by all means, do so. There is no direct connection between smoking and relieving panic attacks. Smoking does not help

4. Rest and re-charge after a day's work. Whatever you do, always put enough time for sleep and rest.

The human body needs sufficient rest and sleep to replenish the used up energy. If you lack all these, your body will collapse. Avoid stressing yourself too much and forget about all the pressures once you hit the sack.

Click here to Read testimonials from people who have already cured their panic attacks successfully using this program!

Click Here To Try Panic Away Now

Coping with Panic Attacks

What are panic attacks?

Panic attacks are caused by the activation of the "fight or flight" response in an individual, otherwise known as anxiety attack.
